FAQs

How can we help you?

Here you can find frequently asked questions and answers. You can find and click the question and see our answer following it.

What file format do I need to provide to MorePCB?

For PCB design, we offer flexibility in the file formats we accept.

For bare PCB fabrication, you can send us Gerber files in RS-274X format, as well as files designed in PADS/PROTEL/ EAGLE /Altium Designer/Sprint Layout/DIP software files like “.pcb”, ”.pcbdoc”, “.lay”, “.lay6”, “.brd”,”.dip”.

For PCB assembly, please send BOM(Bill of Material/Components),Pick&Place(coordinates) and above mentioned PCB files. It’s better if you could supply finished production photos and full requirement detail images.

In case you have other file formats, you can email them to us at sales@morepcb.com. Additionally, you can also upload your files directly to the quote page for easy and efficient processing.

What is PCB Gerber file?

The PCB Gerber format is an open 2D binary vector image file format. It is the standard file used by printed circuit board (PCB) industry software to describe the printed circuit board images: copper layers, solder mask, legend, etc. PCB Gerber files should be inside a .rar or.zip archive with standard file extensions:

Extension                               Layer
pcbname.GTL                        Top Layer Copper
pcbname.GTS                        Top Solder mask
pcbname.GTO                        Top Silkscreen
pcbname.GBL                         Bottom Layer Copper
pcbname.GBS                        Bottom Solder mask:
pcbname.GBO                        Bottom Silkscreen:
pcbname.TXT                         Drills
pcbname.GML/GKO              Board Outline

4 or more layers board also need:

pcbname.GL2                       Inner Layer2
pcbname.GL3                       Inner Layer3
pcbname.GL*                       Inner Layer*

Notes: PCB Gerber file must be RS-274X format. Drill file(pcbname.TXT) should be Excellon format.

What’s the BOM?

BOM is a Bill of Materials that list the components required to build your project.  BOM’s include part number, brand, reference designator , quantity, and description of parts that need to be assembled.

Can I have my printed circuit boards in a choice of colours?

The color of a PCB can be an important consideration, especially if it will be visible in lighting, hi-fi equipment, or other consumer electronics devices.

To provide our customers with options, we offer a range of PCB colors including green, blue, black, red, and white.

Colored boards can be useful for differentiating between individual PCBs, such as prototypes versus production boards, or when multiple circuit boards are used within one housing.

The color of the substrate is achieved by using pigment in the epoxy resin, which is combined with glass-fiber reinforcement to create the finished board beneath the copper tracks. Our standard range of PCB colors is readily available for manufacturing, but if you require a specific color, please contact us to discuss your needs.

Can I get my printed circuit boards in different thicknesses?

We offer a wide range of PCB thickness options to suit various products and requirements.
Our standard thicknesses range from 0.4mm to 1.6mm in 0.2mm steps, with additional options of 2mm, 2.4mm, and 3.2mm.

With over 15 years of experience in designing and manufacturing printed circuit boards in China, we offer single-sided, double-sided plated through hole, and multi-layered PCBs.

While 1.6mm is still the standard thickness for multilayer boards, we offer sizes ranging from 0.5mm to 3.2mm.

At MorePCB, we pride ourselves on our fast delivery times, so please don’t hesitate to contact us for advice on the best circuit board for your needs.

Do you offer a variety of PCB finishes?

The substrate itself is coloured by pigment in the epoxy resin, which is used together with glass-fibre reinforcement to make up the finished board, which sits beneath the copper tracks.

Our standard range of PCB colours is available for immediate manufacture, however, if you have a requirement for a specific colour, please contact us.

Can you help with PCB design and layout?

Yes, our team of experienced engineers can help you with PCB design and layout, including component selection and placement, routing, and signal integrity analysis. Contact us to learn more about our design services.
